  1. My dear lifelong friend Donna, I have read every word on this wonderful website and now I’m having some trouble seeing my keyboard. What Can I say about you? You are THE strongest woman I know. You have taught me everything I know about men, that’s for sure! I am grateful for the friendship we have shared over so many years and am looking forward to many, many more. We have so much left to do, especially a repeat on that fabulous cruise we took last year. It goes without saying that you Ron and Ryan are in my prayers and I know you can and will beat this thing again!
I guess I don’t have to tell you what I think about fried pies, do I??!! I love you dearly and hold you close in my heart. XOXO …Jo

  2. Good Lord, Donna. I don’t have words to describe how sorry I am that you are having to go through all of this. You know that you will be in our hearts and that anything at all we can do to help you and Ron through this is only a call away. I know how strong you are and I have every confidence that the surgery will go well. But please let those of us who care about you do things for you. This is gonna knock your socks off. And couldn’t you find an easier diet plan? Humor, lots and lots of humor is what you need.

I pray that your surgeons are steady of hands and have God looking over their shoulders.

    Love, Lori and Leo

  3. Donna, I read about what is going on with your illness. I am saying prayers for your complete recovery. Please know that I will be able to help in any way that I can. I only live a block away and have time on my hands.

I will monitor this site and follow along on your progress. Tell Ron to let me know when you can have visitors.

    Warmest wishes,

    Rosemary

  4. Donna, I am so sorry to hear about your cancer. I’ve only known you since I started with PPD last July. Because of my hours don’t see you very often, but you always have such a positive attitude, which will help a lot with this fight. Dr.Oh treated a dear friend of mine who had multiple cancers. I went with her and helped her listen on some of her appointments and even took notes. I was very impressed with Dr. Oh. He is a wonderful competent doctor who tells it like it is. I am so glad to hear he is your doctor. I will be praying for you and will ask my bible study class to pray for you also.

  5. Donna – I don’t know of any words to say. I didn’t know about your cancer from before. You are truly a wonderful friend and neighbor! Your positive attitude will definitely help in the weeks and months ahead! I’ll come see you when I can, but please know that you, Ron and Ryan will be in my thoughts and prayers always!

  6. Donna – We haven’t seen much of you and Ron at PCPAAA of late, but, I do remember meeting you at one of our first meetings. You had recently gone through the loss of your mother and we had a nice visit talking about our moms. Mine mom is still here although her mind is slowing slipping away. You strike me as a positive, strong women with many friends and family there for you. We have you and your family in our prayers.

  7. Donna – It is wonderful reading how many people are there for you! How can this not be a complete recovery with so many encouraging you and praying for you? We know what a blessing you are to our family and now I see you have been a blessing wherever you have gone in life. Love you.

  9. My dear cousin what shock I feel! You know that I will be praying for you and for Ron and Ryan, continuously! We love you all and we believe and know that God is a healer, he healed Marilyn of leukemia when she was a little girl and He can do the same for you! He was with you with the other surgery and He will not leave you for this one! May God heal, strengthen and keep you! Love Beth

  10. Donna, I just listened to your voice message left a few days ago. Now that I’m reading this, I feel terrible that I’m not there for you. We have been friends since 1979 – a long time! But distance has separated us over the past 20+ years. I feel sick that you are having to go through such a radical procedure but happy that you spoke to someone who has “been there, done that” and that there IS life after surgery! You have always been strong and super positive! I hope prayerful too. I will keep you in my daily prayers and add you to my prayer list. I will follow your blog to see your progress. Let me know when I can call you. God be with you today my friend!

  11. Hey girl, We have been friends longer than our age and have had many, many talks, even our long distance friendship hasn’t faded!! I was glad to hear from Ryan yesterday that everything went well with your surgery. Sounds like you have a good support system, but I will expect more updates. I did a lot of praying for you and I knew you would beat this thing once again. It won’t be long before you will go home and get some rest. They don’t let you rest much in the hospital. Get better soon.

    Friends forever, Martha

  12. Donna & Ron,

I am so sorry to hear of this latest round. I will be praying for you as you encounter this next bout of surgery. You are the toughest woman I know. Congrats to Ryan & Heidi, a rainbow in your cloudy sky. Beat this demon and let your light shine bright once again.
